There are several nice things about this book. The activities are fun and use regular household items that most people have on hand. The items needed for each activity are listed in a section called "Just take...". The authors share personal experiences from their own childrearing and quotations which apply to child development. There is a space on each page to write personal reflections, ideas, or comments about how the activity went when you tried it. The authors comment that they are not famous or well-respected scholars. Actually, they have made a real contribution by taking the time to gather these ideas and put them into a fun-to-use format. Fun for children of ALL ages.

18 Wheelers is a very good book to read if you like Big Trucks and like to drive them sum people work with them halling stuff. They have different trailers like refregerated trailers they hall food in them to stores like (some store) and other stores and they got logging trucks and bean trucks to hall beans.

A friend of mine bought me this book, knowing I'm interested inthe field, also knowing that I know nothing about Dental Assisting.It was easy enough for a beginner to learn the basics through the advanced. EXCELLENT.

What a wild read this book is. The muse on fire, on wind, on helium. A weird and wonderful journey through the continuous month of August, with the lovely real variety of four original voices. I keep it by my bedside and read it daily!

I use this book every day in my classroom. We use Saxon math and this complements the Problem of the Day very well. I have students complete one problem a day and it is great.

The chapters of this book are taken from the Life-study of Genesis, a complete study of the book of Genesis that relates the entire book of Genesis to the Christian experience. This study has been a great help to me in my Christian journey.

Here is an excerpt from the study that describes well the focus of this book:

"In the gospel preaching today people are mostly told that if they believe in the Lord Jesus, they will be saved from hell and will go to heaven one day. This is true, but it is shallow. From God's point of view, to be saved is to be called. God is not concerned about hell but about your country, your kindred, and your father's house. God is concerned about your environment, surroundings, and background....To be saved is not merely a matter of having your sins forgiven, of being rescued from hell, and of being qualified to go to heaven. To be saved means to be called out of your background and environment.

"To be saved is also to take a journey, to walk along the way, and to run the race. Pilgrim's Progress, a very famous book written by John Bunyan, stresses the one point that salvation is a journey. To be saved is to be called and to be on a journey. People talk much about justification by faith, using Abraham as an example. But before Abraham was justified, he took a journey. His justification transpired in Genesis 15:6. Before Genesis 15, however, we have at least three chapters telling us that this justified one was on a journey."

dr. shiraev's and dr. boyd's book, which i have recently read alongside a few other books on giving advice to international students coming to the united states in order to reccommend a work for friends of mine planning to come to study in the states, is by far the best that i have come along. it poignantly addresses all the issues of importance for a foreign student, leaving little to be desired, without being patronizing or attepting to prescribe receipies of how one is to manage once arrived. maybe it is the unique or if not unique: successful combination of a foreign and domestic point of view, that manages to be very precise and diligent in sketching out that, which is to be expected by those who come from cultures that are both very different, but also seemingly similar. indeed, as a german, i have found out that the seeming similarities of western countries contribute much to the skewed expectations of students that culminate often in a rude awakening, often without knowing why. it is often less important to be pointed towards the obvious, after all, if i had come to the us from myanmar, or swaziland, i would have known very well THAT i was to expect great differences and hence would have been more aware of them. even at the danger of being redundant: in my opinion the danger or difficulty is more often, that differences are not obvious and thus not expected. these subtle differences, different attitudes not perceived up front, the accumulation of otherness in often miniscule details are put forward in a way that i would have very much appreciated being told when i came to the us. unfortunately, then the book had not even been conceived. alas, now it exists - and i would not reccommend any other book but this to anyone coming to the us, in particular those 'familiar' with the western or european lifestyle.

Any book regarding the suject of Accounting is worth while reading. As an Accounting Major in school we simply learn how to apply theory but not the history of Accounting. Luca Paciola was the father of Accounting and he set forth the rules that we still use today. A book that should be recommended reading for Accounting major's.
